not a male-problem

The German TikToker @josischreibt_ complained in one of her more recent videos that assaults by men™ on German women are increasing and that the judiciary is failing in this context. Most cases are dropped, because the perpetrator had not previously committed a crime.

The video stirred me up, because I was already confronted with harassment or violent assaults three times in 2023 alone.

The classic: sexual assault

A man™ masturbated in a metro in the city of Stuttgart next to me. I was shocked and got off at the next possible station. I did not report the incident, because what should I’ve said to the police officers?
„Hey, I was harassed by a man with black hair, dark skin and brown eyes on the metro.“
By the time, I would‘ve arrived at a police station, too much time would have passed and they certainly wouldn’t have been able to locate him. And even if they had found him, we all know by now what would have happened: nothing. The German state is afraid of accusations like racial profiling and they would have turned me from a victim into a perpetrator because of racism.

The Group

In the second case, I went for a walk with my daughter in a park in Waiblingen (Baden-Württemberg) at the beginning of June. Since it was very hot that day, I was wearing a short jumpsuit. A group of teenage men™ (A group of course, they are never alone) approached us and they insulted me from a distance with the words „slut“, „cunt“, „whore“ etc..
My daughter doesn’t know those insults yet, but she perceived that the young men™ meant me when they shouted and got scared immediately.
As they passed us, they poured their drinks over us and my daughter started to cry terribly. I completely freaked out, no longer thinking about the danger I was in, and also started berating the group.
Unfortunately, I descendet to the same level, but seeing my daughter crying like that blew my fuses.
In retrospect, I think I was lucky not to have been physically attacked by these men™ as well. I guess the bystanders saved me.

Attacked by alpha-male

The most recent incident occurred in Eisenach (Thuringia).
I was driving my car through the city in the evening to pick up my partner at the train station.
In Germany, there are speed limits of 50 km/h within built-up areas, and I kept to them.
I quickly noticed that a Mercedes was driving so close behind me that it wouldn‘t have taken much to cause an accident.
I tried to stay calm, even though he kept pushing me, but I just wanted to get my boyfriend and go home.
Suddenly, the driver started to pass my vehicle and I thought „What an idiot!“. I‘ve noticed that he didn’t speed up but continued to drive next to me.
Then, he steered to the right to push me off the road and I was forced to swerve onto a sidewalk. Fortunately, no one was walking there at that moment.
I got really upset and didn’t want to let the driver get away without confronting him. When I think about it now, it wasn’t a good idea, but I’m the kind of person who can’t let people get away with meanness.

This time I followed him, at a safe distance of course, and when he eventually came to a stop I got out, knocked on his window, he opened the door and I said, „You just ran me off the road!“ to which he countered, „Oh it’s you, honey.“
Immediately, he began pushing me around in the street as he said this and then continued to threaten, „If you make another sound, I’ll punch you in the face, you stupid cunt!“
I remained iron-faced and stared him in the eye, knowing that if he hit me now, I would end up in the hospital at the very least.
But the saddest part of the story is not that I was pushed around and insulted, but that he obviously picked up his daughter, who had to watch everything. As a girl, you must be very proud to have a father like that. Not.
I reported this last incident to the police and as @josischreibt_ described in her TikTok video, the case was dropped because the perpetrator supposedly had never been a criminal before.
Actually, I can’t even imagine that, since he went after a much smaller woman so naturally.

I’m sure you can already imagine what I’m telling you.
All these men™ had one thing in common: they were not ethnically German. Maybe they all have a German passport, I don’t want to question that, but they definitely come from cultures that have nothing in common with ours.
Roughly speaking: although ethnically non-Germans still make up a much smaller proportion of the German population, they are highly criminal and often become multiple offenders. For example, Algerians, estimated to number about 25,000 in Germany, make up over 50 percent of multiple offenders in assault, according to police crime statistics.

I long for a world where these facts are not hidden and where we women can assert our right to physical integrity.
The conclusion is: sexual harassment or violence against women is not a general male problem it is a problem we have with migrant men from Africa and West Asia.
